Context

JustMoney, a top South African personal finance platform, sought an engaging way to help users understand and improve their credit score.

My role

Clarified interaction patterns and streamlined content organization and visualization.

01 / DISCOVERY

The product owner envisioned 9 tiles (reflecting credit score factors) leading to a “stories” page, but we faced challenges presenting the deeper insights (involving long-format text) without overwhelming users or cluttering the experience.

Fintech experiences rely on numerous design principles to make complex topics clear and relatable. For Credit Insights, the following principles were central to shaping the final solution:

Von Restorff effect

  • Highlighting the key insight among nine helps users quickly spot what needs improvement and makes it the most memorable takeaway.

Goal-gradient effect

  • Progress visualization summarizes credit insights and motivates users to improve their score.

This case study highlights my contributions to features developed as part of my role at Confluent Services. The work was completed collaboratively, and all product assets, designs, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
